Roaring 1920’s Glamorous – What I Wore

I had the joy of going to a 1920’s bridal party for a sweet friend who’s getting married this weekend. I had a chance to FINALLY break out this dress that’s been sitting in my closet for months, before the idea of being a fashion blogger entered my head. It’s a vintage Stenay dress I got off eBay. It was too big at a 2p, so I got it altered and shortened. I LOVE THIS OUTFIT. It make me feel like I was born to be in the 1920, drinking champagne in Paris with F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway while listening to Louis Armstrong. Le’sigh. A girl can dream!

What is your favorite “fashion decade”? Tell me in the comments!

This is a really cute dress!

I have to admit my fav fashion decade is the 40’s because that’s when many silhouettes had such distinctly feminine lines and tailoring. The 20’s were fabulous with the embellishments and details on clothing.

Yes! I don’t know if you’ve ever watched “I Love Lucy” but it was early/mid 50’s and had similar tailoring and feminine styles. I’ve found myself wishing I could buy some of the show’s outfits.
