I’m trying SO hard not to be one of those people that always posts pictures of her dog, BUT HE’S SO FREAKIN ADORABLE 😍 he’s just the sweetest. I could not have asked for a better puppy to be our first.

Princess and the Bean – What I Wore in Chicago

A “What I Wore” update just in time for my next trip to Chicago this weekend! (Twice in 2 weeks!)

Two weeks ago I went to Chicago for a friend’s wedding. It was my first time and I heard heard so many cool things about the city, so I was REALLY excited.  Before all the wedding chaos set in (Left Brain was the best man), we had one day to explore downtown Chicago. I loved it, but apparently it’s cold 7 months of the year (definitely not moving there).

When traveling and being touristy, comfort, function, and style ALL have to be considered. For example, I wouldn’t wear sandals without an ankle strap because the last thing I need is for my shoe (and my foot) to fall off when running around a new city.

I decided to keep it comfy but stylish with a F21 Aztec printed body con dress, sandals, my trusty all-weather-leather satchel, and my new crescent falls earrings from my May Jewelmint VIPBox. When I first saw them the box I was apprehensive about ever wearing them… I love these so much. I’ve only had my ears pierced since January, so I’m not used to wearing statement earrings. These were lightweight and I didn’t notice them during the day!!

I would have used a different purse (I have a lovely cognac braided cross body bag that I left at my parent’s home before moving… I WILL RESCUE IT!), but seeing as I was traveling, this was more for functionality (It’s the only zippered bag I have)

The pictures were taken at the Cloud Gate in Millennium Park and the gorgeous Lurie Gardens.

I love gardens and parks.

My allergies don’t.

Be fearless,

J.George
