Gold and Blush – What I Wore

I love these statement earrings I got in my Jewelmint VIP box. They are substantial and sparkly. They are also (unfortunately) heavy and uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. I wore them when I went to get dinner with some out of town friends. I wanted to reflect the warm summery weather with loose silhouettes and neutral colors, and showcase my baubles… I paired the bold earrings with my River Island gold crinkled maxi skirt, and a grey strappy back yoga shirt from Forever 21 to capture an effortless elegant vibe. I went with a strappy shirt to add a little sexiness to my neutral outfit, and to keep it from being to “covered up”, and it feel like it added a bit of playfulness to my outfit.

This look is pretty versatile. You can use prints or pastels, any soft metallic maxi skirt, and work in a punch of color by adding statement jewelry (earrings in this case) in any color to get the same effect. As with all statement jewelry, avoid wearing multiple statement pieces at once. Summer is drawing to a close which also means pastel season is almost over. Or is it? Are you planning on wearing pastels boldly into fall or are you ready to switch it up?

Be fearless,

J.George
