Are you from Tennessee, because you’re the only ten I see. 😆 Spoiler alert: He actually is. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my butter (not a misspelling) half, my travel buddy (although Pappu and Justina are quickly catching up to you) and the most tolerable Lakers fan I know (30% of the time. GO CELTICS). You’re the only guy I know that not only sets and meets goals, but vastly exceeds every single one of them. Dang overachiever. Thanks for being a good instagram husband and gym-video guy, a great dog dad to @jarvisthegemini, and my best friend. I love you a waffle lot, @sammen89

PS: Don’t hate me for that last picture, it was too cute 🥺

Sleeves A-flutter – What I Wore

The last of my St. Louis 3 part mini-series! The hotel we stayed at was right next to Busch Stadium, which was a unique experience. Of course, I had to work this landmark into one of my shoots.

My last night in St. Louis I had to attend a banquet. Since I was on the road for a week and had several fancy dinners to go to (yay anniversary dinners!), I packed this adorable flutter sleeved little black dress and it fit the bill perfectly. BONUS: IT’S ONLY $30 RIGHT NOW.

When I saw this dress in the J.Crew factory promos, I had to have it. I ordered it online in Black, but was so nervous about the fit, I drove the the local J.Crew Factory store, and tried it on in white, the only color available in the size I ordered…. It looked like a hospital gown, a fancy hospital gown.

I wanted it to work. I had it taken slightly in at the waist, changing the shape from a shift to a-line to fit my super tiny frame. You can see below it worked! I love the swiss dot texture on the dress, it gives it some texture (it’s really hard to see in most pictures). The flutter-y sleeves add a chic, feminine touch. I wore snake-print peep toes, my embellished envelope clutch and simple pearl studs. I chose to wear my hair up in a voluminous ponytail so it didn’t compete with the sleeves. To channel a classic vibe, I wore Maybelline ColorSensational Creamy Matte lipstick in Divine Wine. A matte red-wine lipstick that isn’t drying at all, it can be found on my list of favorites.

Dress: J.Crew Factory (here) | Shoes: Banana Republic (similar) | Clutch: Express (similar) | Earrings: Target (similar)

Looks fantastic! I always mean to adapt my clothes to my body shape but then forget – it can make all the difference!

Thanks for stopping by! I feel the same way. I honestly don’t get anything fitted until I visit my mom, she’s a great seamstress. 😛
