We’ve all done it before. Worn something, taken pictures, only to realize that we look like floral wallpaper threw up on our clothes. It’s too late to change now, you’re in public and everyone has already seen your floral vomit clothing. Or your eyeliner is uneven. Or you’re rocking a camel toe in with your leggings.
Mistakes happen. Here are some I’ve seen that shouldn’t be happening anymore. Most of what’s listed below is makeup (and hair) related because I believe fashion isn’t as clearly defined. That being said:
Put away the rhinestone glue, gone are the days of over dazzled nail art. The trend is shifting to more muted and deliberate nail art. It’s been seen sweeping the runway during Fashion Week. I’m in love with this trend. Above is a gallery of my favorite nails seen around.
I’m on a DIY kick. Hopefully I can share some DIY embellished sweatshirts. Until then (and while my laptop is out of commission), I’m in love with this nail polish that I blended from 5 other colors. I love Tom Ford’s Sugar Dune from the spring collection, but $30 a bottle is a pretty penny for most people (hello married life). I feel like this is a formidable dupe. It’s sleek and modern, while still showing femininity. What do you think?
It’s been snowing and I’ve had the last three days off of work. I finally worked up the courage to go utside our apartment, dress up, and meet my husband downtown for lunch (he still had work :P). I decided to pair a feminine skirt and sweater with a textured (but slightly-feminine) faux leather jacket. I wanted to keep it neutral and let my lip(color) do most of the talking.
