I had the joy of going to a 1920’s bridal party for a sweet friend who’s getting married this weekend. I had a chance to FINALLY break out this dress that’s been sitting in my closet for months, before the idea of being a fashion blogger entered my head.
Sorry I haven’t posted in a few days! I was busy working on my midterm for my graduate Engineering Management class. Bleh. That’s over, back to posting!
A few weeks ago I went up to Philadelphia for a basketball tournament my husband was playing in. Of course I had to support him in style.
I wore this gold maxi skirt with a simple striped black top, a sparkly bracelet and sparkly earrings. I tried it with my J.Crew venus-fly trap necklace and it looked matronly, so I decided to keep it simple. I grabbed my moto jacket just in case it got chilly (which it did). I’m also wearing tan and gold sandals, but you can’t see those under the skirt. Paired with my clutch, this look is one of my favorites so far.
I definitely stood out among the other spectators. In a good way.
Psttt: Don’t forget, there are only a few more hours to enter my giveaway.
Top: WalMart (Similar) | Skirt: River Island (Similar) | Earrings: Target (Part of this set or Similar) | Shoes: Target (Similar) | Nails: Revlon-Plum Seduction (Here) | Handbag: Express (Similar, I love this one too) | Bracelet: Target (This and this are fabulous)
I know it’s not autumn anymore but I LOVE FLANNEL. It’s so warm and comfy. I’d wear this shirt every cold day till spring if I could get away with it. Naturally I MUST wear it to work. I came up with a simple appropriate outfit using flannel, while still being polished. Navy works with this flannel instead of grey as a neutral as well. I paired it with nude tortoiseshell capped flats and a cognac braided belt.
At the beginning of every month, I’d like to start by stating my fashion goals and blog plans by answering 3 short questions.
What are my fashion goals for this month?
To try to wear more skirts and dresses… If the weather allows. Also, I want to post a DIY project
What is one piece I want to invest in?
I recently got my ears pierced so probably some higher end earrings 🙂
What is one way I want to make this blog better?
I plan to start consistently posting on a schedule.
How was February for you? What are your fashion or blog goals for the month? What would you like to see from me?
PS: Here’s a recap of my February outfits.
